AUG 4: Anti-terror operation entered the fourth day in Akhal Devsar of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
It is learnt that the security forces have eliminated one terrorist in the ongoing encounter in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per the reports by Chinar Corps, on Saturday, a joint team of security forces Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF and Special Operation Group have neutrailzed one terrorist during the encounter that continued overnight in Kulgam.
Chinar Corps posted on X, “OP AKHAL, Kulgam. Intermittent and intense firefight continued through the night. Alert troops responded with calibrated fire and tightened the noose while maintaining contact.”
It added, “One terrorist has been neutralised by the security forces so far. Operation continues,”
Pertinent to mention, on July 29, Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed Lok Sabha that three terrorists involved in the Pahalgam bloodshed were gunned down by security forces during the Operation Mahadev in Srinagar.
Besides, J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat said that efforts of Police are underway to eliminate one-by-one terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir.
