LAHD-SSRB opens 534 Vacancies

Leh: In a major recruitment drive aimed at strengthening public services in Ladakh, the Leh Autonomous Hill Development Subordinate Services Recruitment Board (LAHD-SSRB) has invited online applications for 534 district cadre posts in various departments under the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The vacancies span positions at the matric, 10+2, and graduate levels and are open exclusively to domicile holders of UT Ladakh from District Leh.

According to Advertisement Notice No. 01 of 2025 issued today, eligible candidates can begin submitting applications through the official website, www.lahdssrb.in, starting from July 25.

The last date to apply and pay the online application fee is August 24. The date of the written examination will be announced later on the official website.

The recruitment includes a wide array of posts. At the matric level, roles such as tin-smith, electrician, mechanic, painter, gardener, driver, and Class IV positions like orderly, safaiwala, cook, and ploughman have been announced.

For candidates with a 10+2 qualification, vacancies include junior nurse, lab assistant, X-ray technician, stock assistant, veterinary pharmacist, forester, and cultural assistant, among others. Graduate-level posts cover a broad range as well, such as wildlife forester, steno typist, patwari, junior assistant, panchayat account assistant, carpet mechanic, supervisor, and library assistant.

These positions are distributed across various government departments including Health & Medical Education, Public Works (R&B), PHE/I&FC, Agriculture, Horticulture, Education, Social Welfare, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Rural Development, Forest, and Industries & Commerce.

The selection process will follow all necessary reservation policies, with category-wise distribution outlined in the detailed advertisement.

The total number of advertised posts is 534, with a significant number earmarked for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.

Other categories include SC, ALC, EWS, Persons with Disabilities, and Ex-servicemen, as per government norms.

Issuing the notice, Secretary of LAHD-SSRB, Rehmatullah Butt (JKAS), stated that this recruitment aims to fill crucial vacancies and provide employment opportunities to local youth.

The Board has also coordinated with the Department of Information and Public Relations to ensure the advertisement is widely published in leading newspapers across Leh, Srinagar, Jammu, and national dailies in Delhi and Chandigarh to maximize visibility.
