Jammu: The Union Territory of Ladakh on Tuesday ordered the immediate transfer and posting of new Deputy Commissioners for both Leh and Kargil districts.
According to an official order, Rakesh Kumar, a 2021-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Kargil.
Kumar, who recently joined the Ladakh administration on June 10, replaces Shrikant Balasaheb Suse. Suse has been relieved of his duties in Ladakh and directed to report to the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir for further posting.
In a similar move, another 2021-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, Romil Singh Donk, who was serving as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zanskar, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Leh.
He succeeded Santosh G. Sukhadeve, who has also been relieved and instructed to report to the Chief Secretary, Government of Goa, for his next assignment.
“The outgoing officers shall hand over charge to their successors with adequate briefing on the roles, duties, and responsibilities of the offices of Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil and Leh respectively,” the order stated.
