BJP’s outreach prog to reconfirm workers affiliation, touch 10 lakh people in month

Jammu: In poll mode, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a month-long outreach program aiming to touch around 10 lakh households of Jammu and Kashmir with a variety of activities including personal calls to its workers for reconfirming their affiliation with the party.
As per party sources, besides launching ‘Maha Jana Sampark Abhiyaan’ to contact around around 10 lakh households in Jammu and Kashmir, party also established a dedicated call center tasked to contact its workers on daily basis, to reconfirm their affiliations with party and noted down their grievances if any.
Party sources said that BJP engaged professional tell-caller Company, which is provided with the date of workers and volunteers, who had registered with the party's activities and campaigns from time to time.
“Party shared data included names, phone number, address, assembly constituency along with latest delimitation report with polling booth-wise details with the consultants, who then called to workers and reconfirm all their particularsm” party sources said, adding, “The team also update the workers about latest situation after delimitation and change in their assembly segment or polling booth, if any”.
Confirming this volunteer, who campaigned with the party's ‘Har Ghar Tiranga program, informed The News Now that he got a call from the Bangalore-based number, where the person claimed to be from BJP and Asked about details.
“I got a call from a Bangalore based number, where the person on the other side addresses me with my name. The caller then asked about my affiliation with the party, which initially resulted in thought a call under cyber crime but later the person assured that they had been engaged by the party to know the wellbeing of workers,” said Vikas Gupta of ward number 9 said.
However, a senior BJP official said that this is a routine exercise for the party, to contact its workers and to propagate programs.
Meanwhile, J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina along with other senior leaders launched "Maha Jana Sampark Abhiyaan" in J&K UT.
Addressing a press conference, Raina said BJP cadre would visit more than 10 lakh households to highlight policies and public welfare schemes of the Narendra Modi led government besides workers will also organize Beneficiary Sammelan at various levels
Moreover, the party in a communication said that during Maha Jana Sampark Abhiyaan" from 1st June to 30th June, the party will hold Intellectual Meets, Sammelan of various communities at Assembly level will be conducted.
“Massive rallies will be organized, the programmes will be organized at Parliamentary and Assembly levels. Yoga Day would be organized on 21st June. Balidan Diwas of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee would be observed on 23rd June, PM will address the party cadre on this day. A Massive "Maha Jana Sampark Abhiyaan" would be taken by BJP,” said BJP Ravinder Raina
