Terror funding case: SIA conducts multiple raids

Residence of absconderraided, his foursisters found associated with JeI, political party; mobiles, SIMs seized

Jammu: Barely two months after BJP expelled its functionary in Jammu and Kashmir after he turned out to be ‘LeT commander’, another similar case has been surfaced in district Jammu where State Investigation Agency (SIA) Wednesday conducted a raid at the residence of absconder and seized mobile phones SIM cards from the possession of his four sisters after following their alleged links with political party and a banned outfit Jamaat-e-Islami.
As the investigation of the case started taking place the four sisters were reported to have been found associated with a particular political party and Jamaat-e-Islami(a banned organization in J&K).
The sisters of Abu Bakar named as Saima Ser,( 28), married to one Sajad at Doda, is a doctor by profession, Sehar Bakar, (26), Afsa Bakar (24 years) and Kasha Bakar. From their possession SIA recovered one mobile phone, three SIM Cards, two unknown packets and some documents.
The State Investigation Agency, SIA, with the assistance of the local police and the CRPF Wednesday carried out two raids in Kulgam and Bathindiarea in Jammu in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in an already registered case.
The two raids were carried out in the back drop of the FIR registered against a head constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police namely Mohd Ramzan Reshi alias Rizwan son of Abdul Majid near DPO Kulgam who was arrested in a case FIR No FIR No.04/120, U/S 120-B, 420, 468, 471 of IPC Act of passport Act at CID (CIJ), SIA, Jammu.
“ The raids were conducted after it has been surfaced that Abu Bakar son of Akhtar Hussain a resident of near Police Chowki Bathindi, Vidhata Nagar, Bathindi, Jammu at present Dubai, has links with Mohd Ramzan Reshi, who is head constable in JKP and arrested by SIA”, official sources informed The News Now, adding, “ Mohammad Ramzan, who was arrested on Tuesday, has 16 bank accounts in his name with transactions running into crores. He was also in touch with 10 foreign mobile numbers and had procured a fake passport”.
Abu Bakar’s two sisters were made available and his father and mother had gone to Kishtwar at their native village when the SIA conducted raids in Bathindi. Further it is gathered that Abu Bakar is currently staying in Dubai and he is there for the last 5/6 years. He is unmarried. The father of the Abu Bakar namely Akhtar Hussain is originally a resident of Kishtwar and is staying at a given address for the last 15/20 years. Akhtar Hussain was a Government employee and retired from CAPD Department as TSO.
