Aug 16 Jammu: The Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) is proud to announce a significant stride in urban development with the initiation of the "GIS-based Civic Service Delivery" project.

In this regard a stake holder awareness meet was held in Jammu today with participation from various departments including Police, Municipal Corporation, Revenue, Traffic Department, Archives, Education R&B etc.

Aligned with the objectives of the National Smart City Mission (NSCM), this project aims to transform Jammu into a technologically advanced, citizen-friendly, and sustainable urban center.

Under the aegis of the Government of India's urban renewal program, the NSCM seeks to leverage innovation and technology to enhance the quality of life for citizens across the country.

JSCL has undertaken the responsibility of implementing this mission in Jammu with Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), focusing on various infrastructure development projects to provide improved services to its residents.

This project involves the deployment of a geospatially powered platform for the City of Jammu, offering a comprehensive visualization of municipal tasks and services on a unified map.

This cutting-edge technology enhances situational awareness and facilitates real-time smart decision-making. Importantly, this cutting-edge platform is designed with a strong emphasis on open data, promoting transparency and accessibility in urban development.

The platform's key features include a Single Window Citizen-Centric Geospatial Data system, providing an integrated view of various municipal functions. By connecting all line departments, this initiative promotes a coordinated, outcome-based approach to city management.

The consolidation of data from different departments under one roof ensures seamless data exchange and enhances the effectiveness of Government Schemes.
JSCL recognizes the importance of stakeholder involvement in ensuring the success of these transformative initiatives.

From the inception of the project, JSCL has actively engaged with various departments to streamline city operations and gain insights into their expectations, requirements, and workflows.
