First water theme park to come up in Peer Kho, private players to submit proposals by July 7

The first ever water park to come up at Peerkho along the banks of River Tawi after the Tawi River Front is being built on the lines of Sabarmati in Gujarat.
However, the private players have been asked to submit proposals for the water park by July 7.
“The Jammu and Kashmir Cable Car Corporation will get the construction done through Public Private Partnership (PPP mode) through a private company and it will be the center of attraction in the city to woo the devotees and tourists of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi,” said an official.
He added that the water theme park will be built on 25 kanals of land and will have a swimming pool, entertainment zone, cafeteria, water playground, water slide, water pond with landscapes, leisure zone and catering facility.
“Mahamaya Temple will also be connected to the park. This will be a very attractive and additional option for people who enjoy ropeway in Jammu,” he said.
“The construction of the ambitious Tawi River Front is going on in full swing in the city. The work on the first phase has started. In the first phase, construction is to be done from Bhagwati Nagar fourth bridge to Bikram Chowk bridge,” he added.
The official said that in the second phase, the Tawi beach from Tawi bridge to Gujjar Nagar bridge will be rejuvenated and both these projects will attract tourists to a large extent.
