Govt tweaks industrial Land Allotment Policy

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Wednesday ordered amendments in Industrial Land Allotment Policy 2021-30.
As per the amendments assessed by The News Now, the Chief Secretary will head the Apex Level Project Clearance Committee, Chief Secretary while the High Level Project Clearance Committee would be headed by Administrative Secretary, Industries and Commerce.
As per order number 100-IND (JK) of 2022 , dated June 22, the administration accorded amendment of various clauses of Jammu and Kashmir Industrial Land Allotment Policy 2021-30.
The new amendments came in reference to administrative council decision No. 49/3/2022 dated 15.03.2022 and decision No. 80/6/2022 dated 08.06.2022.
As per the new change, in clause 6 of the policy Block Nagri in District Kathua, would be figure in Zone-A instead of Zone-B.
In sub clause 9.1 and 9.2 in Clause 9, the High Level Project Clearance Committee has been headed by the Administrative Secretary, Industries and Commerce as Chairman and Director, Industries & Commerce, concerned as Member Secretary.
Officers not below the rank of Additional Secretary from Finance, Power Development Department, Forest, Ecology and Environment, Housing and Urban Development, Home, Revenue have been appointed as members of the committee beside Member Secretary, Pollution Control Board Member, MD SIDCO and SICOP . The committee will also have representative of the Industry as nominated Member
Representatives (not below the rank of Additional Secretary) of the Administrative Secretary of Health and Medical Education Department; Skill Development Department and Higher Education Department shall be co-opted for the land allotment pertaining to their departments on case to case basis.
Similarly, clause for 9.2. Apex Level Project Clearance Committee, Chief Secretary appointed as Chairman while Administrative Secretary, Industries & Commerce as Member Secretary.
Administrative Secretaries from Finance, Power Development , Forest, Ecology and Environment, Housing and Urban Development, Home, Revenue, Chairman, Pollution Control Board Member, Director Industries and Commerce, MD JKDFC and MD SIDCO, MD SICOP has been appointed as members in addition to representative of the Industry as nominated Member. Administrative Secretary of Health and Medical Education Department; Skill Development Department and Higher Education Department shall be co-opted for the land allotment pertaining to their departments on case to case basis.
