SRINAGAR: The Directorate of Schools Education Kashmir (DSEK) has terminated three teachers and one orderly from services for remaining unauthorized absent from duties.

The teachers have been identified as Maheen Shawl, Shivani Raina, Goldi Dhar, and an orderly Mohammad Yousuf Bhat. Two separate orders in this regard have been issued by the Director of School Education Kashmir.

As per the order, Maheen Shawl was appointed to the Department as Teacher on 17-07-1999 and was subsequently posted at GMS Kaitch, District Budgam.

Whereas, after joining on the post the teacher availed different kinds of leave from 1st March 2000 to 26th October 2000 even though the same was not otherwise at her credit and thereafter remained continuously/un-authorizedly absent from her legitimate duties w.e.f. 27/10/2000, as such served the Department for less than a year.

The teacher was provided enough opportunities by the DDO concerned to resume her duties which she failed indicating thereby that she is not interested to work anymore in the department. Whereas, un-authorized/continuous absence from duties from last more than 20 years attracts action as warranted in terms of article 1 13 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956, which reads as under: Article 113.
