Vibodh reads pledge to retrieve PoJK on accession day

Rajouri, October 26: BJP Rajouri celebrated Accession Day on Tuesday grandly and spectacularly led by BJP J&K general secretary Vibodh Gupta. He was accompanied by BJP district president Rajinder Gupta, former district president and Prabhari Poonch Dinesh Sharma, former district president and vice chairman Municipality Bharat Bhushan Vaid.

Speaking on the occasion, Vibodh Gupta said that due to various historic decisions taken by Hon'ble Narendra Modi Ji's government including declaring holiday on 'historic' accession day, not only has risen the national consciousness, but there is also an increase in the self-esteem of the people of J&K.

Paying rich tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh, Vibodh asserted that Hari Singh ji was the Iron man of J&K, a progressive Maharaja ahead of his time. He is believed to be among one of the first Maharajas in the country to open temple entry for socially backward people and promote girls education.

Vibodh further said that Maharaja Hari Singh was a nationalist ruler who dared to ask for India's independence at London in the Round Table Conference. However, Sheikh Abdullah and a few other leaders conspired against Maharaja and betrayed him and the people of J&K. He also highlighted the contribution of brave hearts and warriors like Brig. Rajinder Singh who gave supreme sacrifices to defend Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistan raiders.

Speaking on the occasion, District President Rajinder Gupta said that we are indebted to Maharaja Hari Singh who integrated us with this great nation. He further praised Honb'le PM Modi Ji for abolishing Article 370 and 35A which was the biggest hurdle in the development of J&K.

Former district BJP President Dinesh Sharma wished accession day to everyone and said that we are committed to retrieving PoJK from Pakistan and to ensuring peace, progress and prosperity in J&K. He further asserted that soon J&K will be one of the most developed UT among all the states and UT in the country.


Addressing the gathering Vice-chairman Rajouri Municipality Bharat Bhushan Vaid said that accession day marks the integration of J&K with India which is a day to celebrate and glorify. He also highlighted various contributions of Maharaja Hari Singh and said that we are proud of his legacy.
