IIT Mandi launches Shefali Arora's latest release 'Dare. Dream. Travel.'

One of the newest and prominent campuses of IIT established by the Government of India, IIT Mandi launched engineer-cum-critically acclaimed author Shefali Arora's book “Dare. Dream. Travel.”

The virtual event was hosted by The Lit Council, the literary club of IIT Mandi, in association with Literia Insight in an Instagram Live Session on the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dashmi. The event was led by Ms. Ridhi Ratan and Miss G.K.V. Snighda from The Literary Club and was supported by Mr. Nitish Raj, Co-Founder, Literia Insight, along with Mr. Vikash Raj Saxena, Founder, Literia Insight.

In “Dare. Dream. Travel”, Shefali Arora brings forward the predicaments faced by women travellers, as safety and societal pressures refrain them from setting their foot forward. The book highlights the challenges faced by them, the underlying circumstances and their will to conquer them all. Around fifteen women travellers come together in this anthology to share some spine chilling moments from their travel memoirs. The book highlights their perspective on travel and moments that engraved an impact on their travel memoirs.

The book launch consisted of some interesting discussions on the author’s journey in the literary field and her skill at balancing both her technical responsibilities as well creative ideas.

"When writing is a passion, you will want to invest your free time into it. Read as much as you can, it will enrich your writing experience," she said during the discussion. “’Dare. Dream. Travel’ is close to my heart, as I am a travel addict and dream to travel solo sometime. The stories of women travellers will enthrall you and inspire you to follow your travel aspirations."
