DC reviews arrangements being made for mega event

Iconic week festival in Kishtwar on Oct 27, 2021

KISHTWAR, OCTOBER 25: District administration Kishtwar today discussed and reviewed the arrangements being made for celebration of the Iconic Week festival scheduled to be held on Oct 27, 2021 at a meeting with key departments here in the conference Hall of DC office Complex.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma and was attended by Chief Executive Officer Kishtwar Development Authority Inderjeet Singh Parihar; District Social Welfare Officer, Tariq Parveaz Qazi; Chief Agriculture Officer, S K Bhagat; Chief Education Officer, Rashpal Singh Chauhan; District Youth Services and Sports Officer K L Sharma; Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Anil Kaylu besides other officers.
It was informed in the meeting that the mega event is being organised under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav (India@75) and would witness three events viz. Saffron Plucking festival in Saffron Safari Pochal area from 06:00-08:00 am, Marathon for all age groups at Chowgan ground at 4:00-5:00pm and the Cultural evening programme at Chowgan ground from 5:00PM to 07:00 PM.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held with regard to the finalisation of venue, decoration of stage, safety and security measures, traffic management, parking facility, list of invitees, lodging of VVIPs, Artists, besides availability of other essential services on the scheduled day.
