Shri Sajjan Jindal, Chairman & MD of JSW group confers degrees upon IIT Jammu’s 2nd batch of Graduates

Shri Sajjan Jindal, Chairman and Managing Director of the reputed JSW group visited IIT Jammu on Saturday to confer B.tech, M.tech & PhD. degrees upon the graduating students. Shri Jindal with his optimistic attitude and encouraging smile visited the campus amidst difficult weather conditions and delivered the message of firm self-belief and finding joy in one’s job to all the graduating students. The celebration began with a vibrant cultural showcase an evening before the convocation, wherein a palette of regional performances were delivered by Dogri, Gojri and other gifted artists of the region. Binna crafts and Basohli paintings were also exhibited and attracted a lot of buyers from the audience.

This year, IIT Jammu conferred 95 B.tech degrees upon its 2nd graduating batch, 35 M.tech degrees upon the first graduating batch and 1Phd. Degree to Dr. Mohit Pal from the Department of Mathematics. The Convocation Ceremony was held in hybrid mode wherein all the 131 graduates joined in both offline and online. The participating departments included the disciplines of Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. On the glorious occasion following medals were awarded to the graduating students for outstanding performances during their course.
