J&K Terrorism Conspiracy Case: NIA arrest 8 more suspects

Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches in six districts of Jammu and Kashmir and arrested eight accused in a 'terrorism Conspiracy Case', the agency said.
According to a statement, searches were conducted at 10 locations in Srinagar, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Anantnag, and Baramulla districts of Jammu and Kashmir, and eight persons were arrested.
Those arrested were identified as Adil Ahmad War of Srinagar; Manan Gulzar Dar of Srinagar; Hilal Ahmed Dar of Kupwara; Sobhia Parimpora, Srinagar; Rouf Bhatt of Anantnag; Shaqib Bashir of Kupwara; Zamin Adil of Srinagar and Haris Nisar Langoo.
"The case relates to conspiracy for undertaking violent terrorist acts in J&K and other major cities, by cadres of proscribed terrorist organisations Laskhar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al Badr and their affiliates such as the Resistance Front (TRF), People Against Fascist Forces (PAFF) etc," the agency said in the statement.
It said that had registered the case on October 10 and initiated the investigation. "Till now, 13 accused persons have been arrested in this case by the NIA," the statement added.
During the searches, electronic devices and 'incriminating jehadi documents/ Posters, etc. have been seized'.
Stating that the accused eight persons arrested are "terror operatives of various proscribed terrorist organisations and have been instrumental in providing logistical and material support to terrorists," the agency agency noted that further investigation in the case continues.
NIA had registered the case on October 10 and initiated the investigation. Before today's action, 13 accused persons have been arrested in this case by the NIA.
