Ahead of Shah’s visit 2 more LeT aides held

Jammu: Amid high alert in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's three days visit from 23 to 25 October , security forces arrested two more LeT associates from Satwari area and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession, here on Thursday.
The catch has been made just two kilometers away from the site where Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to address public gathering I,e Bhagwati Nagar.
“ Yes, two suspects have been lifted with arms and ammunition”, ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh confirmed the reports ,when contacted.
Earlier, on Wednesday, Jammu and Kashmir Police Army 26 RR, and CRPF 52 battalion personnel apprehended one Sohail Ahmed Bhat son of Noor Mohd Bhat of BathriGandoh, Doda from a cab and recovered a hand grenade from his possession. He was booked vide FIR No 235/2021.
Sharing details official sources informed The News Now that Satwari police during naka checking intercepted two suspects and during their frisking police recovered one AK series rifle, 3 magazines, 30 rounds, and one Optical sight from their possession. During questioning, they informed police that they are in touch with handlers across and is associated with LeT militant outfit.
They have been identified as Malik Ashfaq son of Nasir Ashfaq and Gulam Rasool son of Habib Ula Mir, both are residents of Verinag, Anantnag. They have been booked vide FIR no. 230/21 U/S 120-B IPC, 7/25 Arms Act and 13,16,18,23 ULAP in Police Station, Satwari.
Pertinently, Security has been beefed up in Jammu & Kashmir ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's proposed visit to Srinagar from October 23 to 25. The visit comes in the light of spate of civilian killings in the Valley. Security forces have been carrying out searches and checking identity cards of commuters as precautionary measures.
Shah will chair security meetings with the top officials of the J&K administration, police officials and other central paramilitary forces. After the abrogation of Article 370, this will be Amit Shah's first visit to Jammu and Kashmir. During his visit, Shah is also likely to make announcements of several developmental projects for the region .
Shah is also stated to take first hand information regarding the steps taken by the government to control the attacks on non-locals in Kashmir.
