Time to implement strategy
In one of the recent interviews, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha said that strategy has been framed to counter civilian killings. He also gave a clear-cut message to inimical forces operating across the border and within hinterland, who are trying to disrupt the attempts of restoring peace by saying that the government is not interested in buying peace but will establish it permanently across the Union Territory. He added that the culprits of killings will not be spared as the new stern strategy has been farmed in consultation with the security agencies. “A new trend has started of killing innocent people with support from both side, but we have framed a strategy in consultation with security forces and Intelligence agencies to avenge the civilian killings,” Sinha had said.Although the security forces deployed in Jammu and Kashmir has keeping strict vigil on the anti—social elements and taking stern measures to eradicate militancy from the Union Territory. But the past few day developments revealed that challenges enhanced for security forces. In the backdrop of these incidents, police must take more stern measures to prevent such killings. The police must strengthen their security to ensure the safety of people as well as to thwart any untoward incidents. Amid a spate of civilian killings, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha vowed to avenge every drop of their blood by hunting down terrorists and their sympathisers.Sinha said attempts are being made to disrupt the peace and socio-economic progress of Jammu and Kashmir and the individual growth of people, and reiterated the commitment to the fast-paced development of the Union territory.The LG was referring to the killing of civilians, including members of minorities and non-local workmen, by militants over the past 10 days in the valley.The lieutenant governor urged the people to remember the security personnel who have laid down their lives in the line of duty. With this commitment the government will soon avenge the killing civilians and thwart such killings.
