17-year-old boy drowns in nallah Sindh in Ganderbal
Srinagar: A 17-year-old boy drowned in nallah Sindh in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal, official sources said.
They said a group of youth was taking bath in the nallah in Duderhama on Friday evening. "A youth, identified as Mohammad Azam Shah, drowned,” they said, adding that other people present in the area tried to rescue him, but failed.
They said a search and rescue operation was immediately launched following which the body of the youth was recovered. After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
