128 fresh cases, 1 death

Jammu: With the recovery of one patient, the district Kathua become COVID free while the Jammu and Kashmir reported 128 fresh cases on Monday, taking the number of infected persons to 3,28,069 while one fresh death due to the virus took the toll to 4,417 in the Union Territory.
As per the data accessed by The News Now, the district Kathua become COVID free following recovery of one patient and no fresh cases. The border district is first in Jammu and Kashmir to become COVID free.
Out of the fresh cases, 19 were from the Jammu division and 109 from the Kashmir division, they said.
They said Srinagar district recorded the highest number of 68 cases followed by 14 in Budgam district.
There are 1,461 active cases in the Union Territory, while the number of recovered patients was 322191, the officials said.
The death toll in J&K due to the pandemic rose to 4,417 as one fresh death was reported in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the officials said, there were 46 confirmed cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) in the Union Territory as no fresh case was reported since last evening.
With 159 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 322,191 which is 98.20 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 68 from Srinagar, 09 from Baramulla, 14 from Budgam, 04 from Pulwama, 04 from Kupwara, 01 from Anantnag, 02 from Bandipora, 06 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 19 from Jammu division include 05 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 02 from Rajouri, 04 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 01 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 07 from Reasi," officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Monday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 46.
As per officials figures, 73,703 positive cases including 838 deaths and 72,081 recoveries are from Srinagar, 24,174 including 282 deaths and 23,761 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,462 including 23,127 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Budgam, 15,414 including 15,192 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,321 including 166 deaths and 14,124 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,496 including 16,273 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,700 cases including 9,571 and 101 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,233 including 10,099 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,471 including 11,326 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,604 including 5,542 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,115 including 51,918 recoveries and 1,143 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,390 including 11,248 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,147 including 10,889 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,720 including 7,515 recoveries and 131 deaths are from Doda, 9,288 including 9,137 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,141 including 7,019 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,805 including 4,753 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,340 including 6,235 recoveries and 97 deaths are from Poonch, 6,011 including 5,940 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,534 including 6,441 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 3,470,471 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 8,134 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,461 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,995,401 persons have completed the surveillance period and 461,058 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 14,361,320 samples are available. Out of 14,361,320 the number of samples tested negative stands at 14,033,251 while as 328,069 have tested positive, among them 1,461 persons are active, 322,191 persons have recovered and 4,417 persons have died.
