DYSS Kishtwar conducts cleanliness drive around natural water bodies

KISHTWAR, JULY 26: Department of Youth Services & Sports Kishtwar today conducted a cleanliness drive around the natural water bodies at different areas of the district.
Sports department Kishtwar initially visited Nagni area located 3 km away from Kishtwar Township and conducted a cleanliness drive around the cluster of seven Chashmas (Springs) and thereafter visited the famous Kartik Swami Mandir and cleaned the spring there.
All Sports employees led by Shahnawaz Ahmed Qazi undertook the cleaning of the area in and around with full enthusiasm and restored the natural water bodies for the use of the general public. Drinking ponds for animals, surroundings areas, lanes & by lanes were also cleaned by the team members.
Speaking on the occasion District Youth Services & Sports officer Kharati Lal Sharma thanked the Director General Youth Services and Sports for taking keen interest in cleaning the natural water bodies throughout the J&K UT. He also urged local people to take care of these natural resources and make it a habit to protect and clean them
Pyare Lal, Sarpanch of the area thanked the Sports department for taking up the task which is the need of the day.
