J&K have witnessed worst in absence of Congress Govt: Ashok Sharma

Rajouri: Block Congress Committee, Dangri office bearers took oath of allegiance on their respective positions assigned by party high command in the presence of National Coordinator AICC Vichaar Vibhag, Ex-MLA Kalakote & Ex-MLC, Adv. Ashok Kumar Sharma, Vice-Chairman DDC Rajouri & District Congress President Rajouri and Former Minister Sh. Shabir Ahmed Khan and others in the district headquarters.

While taking oath as office functionaries of Block Congress Committee (BCC) Dangri, participants pledge to work and function under the ambit and provisions of Indian National Congress under the leadership of Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Sh. Rahul Gandhi, S. Dr. Mannohan Singh, Sh. Gulam Nabi Azad, Smt. Rajni Patil, Sh. G. A. Mir and others and undertakes to work at the grass root level to strengthen the party from village/ward to national level.

Adv. Ashok Kumar Sharma honoured and facilitated the newly appointed office bearers and hailed the party workers for their dedicated efforts in reaching up to the common people during the Corona Virus pandemic, lockdown and asked them to further galvanize their efforts in the multidimensional fields, particularly post-COVID period when the whole socio-economic structure of the common masses was badly hit and every unit of population require to overhaul itself.

Mr. Sharma added that the people of J&K have witnessed worst in absence of Congress Government. The present dispensation was responsible for rampant corruption from top to bottom, the Centre should take urgent measure to hold elections after restoration of statehood, as that will only bring back J&K on the path of peace trust in governance, prosperity and inclusive development.

DDC Vice Chairman and District Congress President Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Khan while addressing the participants said that anti-youth policies of BJP at Centre and J&K have led to disappointment, mistrust and alienation among youth, as the BJP government has utterly failed to fulfil their commitment, genuine urges and aspirations of youth. Accusing the government of failing to solve day to day problems of the common people, Mr.Khan said that miseries of the people have been increased manifold after formation of this BJP led NDA regime which was formed without any programme and policy planing.

He further slammed Union Government for its failure to address the issue of BSF, CISF aspirants who held months long protest in support to their demands. He said that BJP had made promised to create 2 crore jobs per year but after attaining power at the Centre, the party has been miserably failed to fulfil its promises made with the youth of the country. “Jammu and Kashmir is among states, which have highest unemployment rate,” he further said.

While addressing the newly appointed office bearers, Sajad Mirza, Shabir Hussain and Rattan Pal Mehta, veteran leaders said that Congress stood like a rock against those who were unhappy with India emerging as world power and strived hard to ensure socio economic equality in the country, any step from outside and within the country to weaken the Congress Party shall be detrimental as playing with the national unity, integrity and sovereignty of the nation.
