Police targets Drug dealings in Anantnag, arrests a drug peddler

Srinagar: Police in south Kashmir's Bijbehra Anantnag received an information through reliable sources that two persons namely Ishfaq Ahmad Parray (Shop owner)S/o Mohd Ramzan Parray and Manzoor Ahmad parray S/o Abdul Rahman Parry both residents of Krandigham Bijbehara has indulged in peddling of narcotic substances and has hoarded narcotic substances in their Shop at Guree Bijbehara for sale.

Accordingly case FIR No. 216/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS Act got registered in Police Station Bijbehara and investigation taken up.

A search team comprising of SHO Bijbehara and Executive Magistrate Bijbehara was constituted who carried out the search of the said shop after searching the shop 1.3kg of Charas like Substance was recovered from the said shop and One person namely Nisar Ahmad Parray S/o Abdul Rahman Parray Resident of Krandigham Bijbehara working as Lab Assistant in Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Bijbehara was arrested on spot.

However two other accused persons managed to escape from the spot. Further investigation in the instant case continues.
