India achieves another milestone of administering more than 43 crore doses of Corona vaccine

Jammu, July 25: India’s cumulative COVID vaccination coverage has achieved the landmark milestone of 43 crore. The cumulative figure stands at 43 crore 26 lakh 5 thousand and 567. Union Health Ministry said that the new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st June and nearly 46 lakh Vaccine Doses were administered yesterday.

More than 22 lakh 80 thousand vaccine doses were administered as first dose and 2 lakh 72 thousand vaccine doses given as second dose in the age group of 18 to 44 years yesterday. Cumulatively, over 13 crore 77 lakh persons in the age group of 18 to 44 years across 37 States and Union Territories have received their first dose and more than 60 lakh 46 thousand have received their second dose since the start of Phase-3 of the vaccination drive. Three States namely Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have administered more than one crore cumulative doses of COVID-19 Vaccine in this age group.

Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Uttarakhand and West Bengal have vaccinated more than 10 lakh beneficiaries of the age group of 18 to 44 years for the first dose of COVID vaccine.
