NEW DELHI: BJP's National President Jagat Prakash Nadda has alleged that the Congress leaders are misleading people and creating false panic among citizens to derive political mileage. In a letter written today to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Nadda said while India is fighting COVID 19 with utmost courage, the opposition party is engaged in creating confusions. He asserted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, unlike many developed countries in the world, India has already started vaccinating its younger population in addition to the frontline workers and elderly citizens. He said, the Prime Minister is working closely with all Chief Ministers in this fight to defeat the pandemic.

Responding to the allegation of the Congress Working Committee that the Modi Government has abdicated its responsibility on vaccination, Mr. Nadda said, the topmost Congress leaders had themselves demanded for 'decentralisation in the process of vaccination". He however said, the Centre still provides 50 per cent of the vaccines completely free of cost to the states. Highlighting the free vaccination policy for everyone in the BJP ruled States, Mr. Nadda called upon the Congress also to make similar announcements for Congress ruled States.

Responding to opposition's criticism of the Central Vista project, Mr. Nadda said that the project was initiated due to the demand raised by Lok Sabha speakers during UPA rule.
