Calls for framing plans in consultation with PRIs


KISHTWAR, MAY 06: To discuss the modalities for the formulation of plan under District Capex Budget 2021-2022, Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting of District officers and Block Development Officers, here at DC Office Complex Mini secretariat.
Joint Director Planning, Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Singh Katoch, Chief Medical Officer, Dr R S Manhas, besides District officers, BDOs and XEns were also present in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner discussed various projects to be undertaken by PWD and PMGSY and the financial implication involved in the upgrading of the road infrastructure in the district.
Laying special stress on providing road connectivity, water and electricity supply to the left out habitations, he directed the concerned officers to propose projects that can be completed in the stipulated time and without encumbrance on the budget plan. He asked them to frame the plans in consultation with concerned BDCs, PRIs.
He further stressed to start the works only after getting proper Technical Sanction, Administrative Approval and completion of other Codal formalities. He told them to take up the matter with their concerned higher ups in case of any hindrances for resolution of impediments.
Meanwhile, the DDC instructed officers to utilize available funds under the Capex Budget and other capital heads as per the set timeline to avoid the lapse of funds.
The modalities for the development of playfield in each Panchayat, handing over of the completed sub centre buildings to indenting departments, construction of new building at Model Hr. Sec School Kishtwar were also discussed in detail in the meeting.
The CMO was directed to formulate plan for augmentation of Block level Health infrastructure to tackle the COVID19 pandemic in an efficient and effective manner. The CMO was asked to prioritise the work of drainage system in the district Hospital, besides laying and fitting of pipe-line in Covid isolation wards ahead of the installation of Oxygen generators.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers to submit their plan under District Capex Budget before 8th May 2021 so that the projects can be completed well in time to benefit the people.
Besides, he asked all district officers to update the MPR of all the languishing works by today evening.
