Demands Dr Jitendra’s resignation, action against culprits

JAMMU, MAY 4: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) activists led by its President Uday Bhanu Chib staged a massive protest here today.
The protest was organized on the directions of GA Mir, JKPCC President, against the alleged land and minor mineral mafia’s loot of natural resources and putting the common people of J&K in tremendous misery and trouble and misery.
Talking to media persons, Udhay Chib said “The Congress Party and its leaders including myself had been crying hoarse over this significant issue since long but our voices had fallen on deaf ears. Now the things are crystal clear with a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vikram Randhawa himself revealing the nexus between the land and minor mineral mafia in this Union Territory with the Union Minister PMO and his agents in plundering the resources of minor minerals here as a result of which the common man can’t dare to think of constructing the dream home due to the rates of these essential items sky rocketing to around Rs. 6000 instead of normal rates around Rs. 1000.”

While apologizing to the people for coming out to protest amid Covid pandemic, the JKPYC President said that seeing the hapless plight of the people intending to construct their shelter rather dream home, they felt compelled to come on roads during Corona curfew when the nation is engaged in the crucial battle against the pandemic. I had been complaining and raising the issue of movement of trolleys carrying minor minerals across the Jammu City and its suburbs regularly despite ban on the mining of these minerals, but nobody in the governance here in the UT as well as at the Centre bothered to heed to this brazen loot as a result of which the common man here continues to suffer especially those going for house construction with their hard earned lifetime savings. I had raised this issue multiple times earlier and the only new revelation in Randhawa’s press conference was that the leader of the looters of minor mineral mafia turned out to be the Union MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh and his agents.

Udhay Chib regretted that at a time when the government and its whole machinery is supposed to concentrate on battle against Corona, the BJP remote controlled J&K UT administration under the patronage of Ministers like Dr. Jitendra Singh is busy in plundering the minor mineral wealth through corrupt means. The government has failed to address the issues of shortage and black marketing of Oxygen cylinders and Covid related drugs and equipment that should have been the topmost priority.

Chib demanded that after the fire in its own house with its leader making the serious expose we demand that Union Minister PMO Dr Jitendra Singh must immediately resign from the Cabinet and culprits running the unholy mafia be brought to book at the earliest.

Those present during the protest included Ajaz Choudhary Vice President JKPYC, Ricky Dalotra General Secretary JKPYC, Latish Sharma Secretary JKPYCbesides many other Youth Congress office bearers were present.
