15 oxygen concentrators from Thailand arrived in Delhi as assistance to India in fight against COVID-19

NEW DELHI: Fifteen oxygen concentrators from Thailand arrived in Delhi today as assistance to India in the fight against COVID19. India has welcomed the gift of oxygen concentrators from its ASEAN partner. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi also thanked the Indian community in Thailand who have generously donated another 15 oxygen concentrators.

Sources said Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan o Cha conveyed through Foreign Affairs Ministry his desire to offer assistance to India. India indicated oxygen related requirements of cylinders, concentrators, generators and cryogenic oxygen tanks. Meanwhile Indian corporates, in coordination with India Embassy in Thailand and Home Ministry, were sourcing cryogenic tanks from Thailand.

11 tanks in 3 sorties by IAF C17 have already reached India. In addition, 100 oxygen cylinders have separately been offered by the Indian Association of Thailand. Steps are being taken for their speedy transportation to India.
