Jammu Police arrests two drug peddlers with heroin

Jammu: Police arrested two drug peddlers with contraband of heroin in Trikuta Nagar area here.

Police spokesman here said that a team of Police Station Bahu Fort led by Station House Officer Inspector Deepak Pathania during a duty at a checkpoint near JDA parking ground, Rail Head Complex rounded up two suspects and during frisking, 55 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession.

Both the drug peddlers identified as Irshad Ahmed and Tariq Ahmed, both residents of Damhal Hanjipura, Kulgam were arrested on the spot.

A case under relevant sections was registered and investigation started, said the police spokesman.

Jammu Police have requested people to come forward and share information about drug peddling or consumption on 9086100100 or 100 with Police for the cause and their identity will be kept confidential.
