Habba Kadal Bridge in Sgr getting final touches: SSCL
'Chunthikul Walkway, Cycle Track near completion

SRINAGAR:In the heart of Srinagar, exciting changes are taking place as the city gears up to become a Smart City. The Habba Kadal Bridge is entering its final phase of development, receiving the finishing touches that mark a significant step forward in urban innovation.
Simultaneously, progress is evident on the Chunthikul Walkway and Cycle Track, both nearing completion.
Sharing details, a senior official at Srinagar Smart City Limited said, “In a bid to preserve the old heritage and also create public place in the congested old City area, the Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) has taken up a project to redesign the old Habba Kadal bridge at the cost of Rs 1.80 crore”.
The Bridge is being redesigned similar to Zero bridge, will have a lot of sitting spaces, Gazebos and kiosks on it after its completion and will be exclusively for pedestrian use only. He also informed that over 80 percent works on the bridge have been completed, and illumination and other works is in final touch.
These projects are not just about infrastructure; they represent Srinagar's commitment to modernization and creating accessible spaces for its residents. As these developments unfold, the city is poised for a smart and connected future, he said.
Adding that he said there is another project Walkway and Cycle Track, at Chunthikul. The 3.1-kilometer project is on the way to its completion.

Amir, at the same time, informed Chunthikul Walkway & Cycle Track! Another key project along the banks of Chunthikul from Dalgate to Maisuma over a length of around 3.1 kilometres. The project is inching towards completion. Very soon you can enjoy walking, and cycling along the Chunthikul around the Kashmir Golf Course on the beautiful route parallel to the MA Road!
