Lately she received ‘Rising Star Award’ and ‘Laureate Finalist Award’ in Kolkata National Book Fair 2019-20 by Literoma for the same; an addition to her pot. Read on.

What are you up to these days?
I am presently putting my energies in creating avenues where mental well-being can be promoted at all levels across all age groups. Being a certified life coach gives me opportunities to engage myself in bringing about positive changes through one-on-one and group counselling sessions. Besides that, I do consultancy for e-projects including media and other organizations as a freelancer.

You added the tag of ‘author’ to yourself. How did that happen?
Writing is my first love and the love affair started at a very young age. Writing like love for me is about the expression: the expression of thoughts, ideas, and emotions. For me, it may not be exactly a compulsion, but it’s quite close…that it just naturally happens for me making sense of the world around in all aspects of life. Holding your finished book in your hands gives you a surreal feeling. The title of “AUTHOR” is a writer’s high and the feeling is so intense that once you’ve had one, there’s nothing like it.

What is the vision behind ‘Mind, Life & Reflections’?
As the name suggests, 'MIND, LIFE & REFLECTIONS’ is about how our mind perceive life and how the same reflect upon our individuality. The book will apparently take you to the journey inward like the imperceptible edges of times of your life often discovering yourself underneath through life lessons jolting you or concocting stillness in you, tapping to ‘a connect’ that strums a deep emotion. It is meant for the ones seeking the answers and also for the ones for whom questions don’t matter.

Feedbacks you have been getting for it.
The common feedback I do get all the times is the reliability aspect of the book. It is quite emotional for me to receive messages from people message telling that the book helped them get through a rough patch.
I am overwhelmed with the response where I have had the chance to be able to touch lives in the most positive manner.

What can Jammu take away from it?
The world is facing a mental health epidemic and Jammu is no different. Unfortunately, our place has witnessed conflicts in the past and it has affected mindsets of generations leaving many in dilemma of the right or the wrong side. ‘Mind, Life & Reflections’ offers, a catalyst for change bringing in peace potential. Hope this book creates a sense of positivity, perseverance, and love among the readers.

One thing you like or dislike about Jammu
LIKE: I feel extremely lucky and blessed belonging to the beautiful place, Jammu. It truly offers a gamut of culture, magnificence in its landscapes; the tranquillity in the simplistic lifestyles, the scrumptious delicacies…the place just grows on to you.
DISLIKE: It saddens me to see less of support coming from the locals for the locals. It is time that we as people of Jammu support each other to be strong, give courage to the timid, remind the indifferent, and warns the opposed. Help others achieve their dreams for our prime purpose in life is to help others.

What’s next?
I live in the now and exploring my aliveness at this moment is what drives me through my life journey and the life lessons. What is important today was not significant yesterday and might not be of great consequence tomorrow. I want to explore every breath of my life figuring out and learn, what it means to be me to be alive at that moment. The answers will keep on changing and so will the experiences. That holds true for everyone. The moment you feel you have an answer; life will present a different question. Whether you answer it or not is irrelevant. What matters is getting up and facing the question as many times as possible and creating answers for it.

Anything you’d like to mention to the people of Jammu
Be grateful for all you have and all you don’t, for now, there is something to look for,
Be grateful for the good times and all the lows, for there is something that will make you grow,
Be grateful for your strengths and your weaknesses, for there is something to build upon,
Be grateful for the breaths taken, for there is yet life to witness
