DDC Ramban takes stock of availability of essential commodities, supplies

RAMBAN, JANUARY 14: District Development Commissioner Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today convened an emergency meeting of district and sectoral officers to review progress of snow, road clearance and position of essential services and supply in district.
ACD, CMO, XENs, of PDD, PHE, PWD, PMGSY and other District and Sectoral officers of all essential department were attended the meeting.
During the meeting DDC reviewed the status of availability of essential commodities and restoration of essential services and supplies. He directed the officers to start restoration work of water and power supply on war footing besides ensuring availability of essential commodities especially in snow bound areas.
DDC also took stock of snow and road clearance operations on national highway and link roads of Sub divisions Banihal, Ramsu and Gool and directed the concerned officers to restore all the roads as early as possible. He directed to all officers to stay in their headquarters and keep men and machineries on high alert in view of the snow prediction for the next days.
He directed the all the officers to station at their headquarters to deal with any emergency in ongoing raining and snowfall, meantime AD Food was directed to ensure availability of Ration, LPG, Kerosene oil and Xens of PDD and PHE were directed to restore water and power supply without any delay.
CMO was directed to ensure availability of medical services, heating arrangements, punctuality of staff and patient care at the health institutions especially during ongoing snow season.
