Adhere to prescribed quality, quantity parameters: DDC Pulwama to Petrol Pump owners

Imposes Rs 10000 fine to filling station for flouting norms

PULWAMA, DECEMBER 13: District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Raghav Langer today paid surprise inspection to various petrol pumps to check quantity and quality of fuel across south Kashmir district.
During the inspection, Mehboob Alam Filling Station was fined Rs. 10000 for its failure to install fire extinguishers at the filling station.
The DDC directed the owners to provide basic amenities at Petrol Pumps including urinals, drinking water facility and free air for vehicles. He also asked them for strict adherence to prescribed quality and quantity parameters.
Later, the District Development Commissioner also visited the Range Office and checked attendance of night duty staff. He also enquired about the supply of firewood to Masjids, directing the concerned officials to ensure that people don’t face any inconvenience during harsh winter season.
