DDC Anantnag reviews machinery procurement process for Municipalities

ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 11: District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Khalid Jahangir today reviewed the procurement process of machinery and equipment to be purchased on line for Municipal Council Anantnag and Municipal Committees of Bijbehara, Mattan, Dooru, Kokernag, Achabal, Pahalgam Seer Hamdan, Aishmuqam and Qazigund.
The concerned officers informed the meeting that process for purchase of Tippers, Hoopers, Street Lights, JCBs, Tractors with snow clearance accessories and suckers has been initiated and the tenders will be opened by 18th of this month.
The DDC stressed upon the officers to ensure the procurement of all the necessary equipments for snow clearance with greater efficiency well in time. He also directed to make better use of the funds provided to the Municipalities under 14th FC to strengthen the infrastructure.
