2-Day Industrial Awareness Workshop organised in Shopian

SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 11: Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute Srinagar under Ministry of MSME organised two days workshop on industrial motivation in collaboration with District Industries Centre and Industrial Association Shopian here today.
The workshop is an attempt to make entrepreneurs aware about the various Government schemes available for the development of the industrial sector in the district.
The program was organised jointly by MSME, DIC Shopian, KVIB, JKEDI and J&K Bank.
Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Choudhary Mohammed Yasin presided over the function as Chief Guest.
While addressing the workshop the DDC directed the concerned departments to help the prospective entrepreneurs by handholding. He also ensured all possible support to boost the industrial sector in the district.
The ADDC Shopian, Mohammad Saleem urged the youth to take up the path of self employment with passion and sincerity. He said besides having horticultural produce, there is huge scope for the development of fruit processing industry in the district. A detailed presentation on DIC and JKEDI schemes was also presented by the concerned officers.
Earlier, Assistant Director MSME, Saheel Alaqband said that the workshop is organised to address the issues faced by the unit holders and artisans and to discuss the role the schemes including SFURTI, MSE-CDP will play in addressing these issues.
During One on One discussion on the second day of workshop, issues related to CGTMSE Scheme, marketing opportunities through SICOP, infrastructure development of industrial estates in Shopian were taken up by the unit holders.
