PDD schemes: DDC Ganderbal reviews implementation

GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 11: District Development Commissioner, Hashmat Ali Khan today convened a meeting of senior functionaries of Power Development Department and allied wings to review the status of power projects aimed to improve the power supply scenario in the district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal Farooq Ahmad Baba, Chief Planning officer, SE O&M Circle Ganderbal, Executive Engineer, STD beside other senior officers, attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the physical and financial achievements under State and Central schemes including Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUJGY), Saubhagya, Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS), and Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP).
The concerned officials briefed the DDC about the status of DDUJGY Scheme and PMDP and informed that several projects are under process for upgradation of power infrastructure in the district.
The DDC, while reviewing the progress and the targets, exhorted upon the officers to utilize and complete the remaining works within stipulated time frame. He laid emphasis on formulating a long-term plan to provide uninterrupted power supply to the district.
The DDC impressed upon the officers to hold regular meetings and work in tendem to remove bottlenecks, if any, to complete these projects in a given timeframe to avoid cost escalation.
