Speed up pace of work on languishing projects: DDC Kupwara to officials

Reviews works under District CAPEX Budget and B2V Programme


KUPWARA, DECEMBER 09: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg, today chaired a meeting of District Officers and Executive Engineers of various Engineering Wings to review the progress made during current fiscal under Languishing Projects, District CAPEX Budget and Back to Village Programme.
The DDC took a detailed review of various projects executed by R&B, JKPCC, Education, Health, Industries, Housing & Urban Development, Technical Education, Sheep Husbandry and Horticulture departments. It was informed in the meeting that 63 works are being executed by these departments at an estimated cost of Rs.13512.04 Lakh.
It was further given out that various projects under languishing scheme have been completed, while other projects are nearing completion and work on other projects is in progress.
The meeting was informed that 28 projects are being executed by R&B Department at an estimated cost of Rs. 4818.36 Lakh, 9 works are being executed by JKPCC at an estimated cost of Rs.3893.19 Lakh, 11 works are being executed by Education Department at an estimated estimated cost of Rs.931.40 Lakh and 15 works are being executed by Health, Industries, Housing & Urban Development Department, Technical Education, Sheep and Horticulture Departments at an estimated cost of Rs.3869.09 Lakh.
On the occasion, the DDC directed the concerned authorities to speed up the pace of work and complete all the projects within the given timeframe. The DDC also reviewed various projects being executed under District CAPEX and Back to Village Programme.
