Commissioner Secretary lays foundation stone for PWD projects in Poonch

POONCH, DECEMBER 06: Commissioner Secretary Public Works Department, Khurshid Ahmed Shah, today visited border district of Poonch and inaugurated newly constructed PWD projects besides laying foundation stone for several roads.
Chief Engineer PWD Nasir Ahmed Goni, Chief Engineer PMGSY Deshraj Bhagat, Chief Engineer JKPCC, N.D. Khwaja and other concerned officers from PWD, PMGSY and district administration were present on the occasion.
The Commissioner Secretary laid foundation stone for a three kilometer long link road at Malti and three kilometer long link road at Kasalian besides other roads in the district.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner Secretary inspected progress on Strong Room, Indoor Stadium, College Auditorium and Girls Gujjar Bakarwal 100 bedded Hostel at Poonch.
Later, Commissioner Secretary visited Surankote where he inaugurated newly constructed VIP suites at Dak Banglow
Speaking on the occasion, Khurshid Shah said that administration is committed to provide enhanced road connectivity to the people to ensure socio-economic upliftment of far-flung areas. He added that no stone will be left unturned to meet the development related expectations of the people.
Later, he had exhaustive interaction with several local delegations to assess the issues and concerns of people living in these areas. He also asked the accompanying officers to look into the issues raised by the people and initiate action for an early redressal to the same.
