No eWB to move goods within UT

JAMMU: The government has ended the requirement of e-Way Bill generation to transport goods within the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
“No e-Way Bill is required to be generated to transport any class of goods of any value in case of movement of goods which commence and terminate within the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir subject to the condition that the person in charge of the conveyance shall carry the documents such as tax invoice, bill of supply, voucher, delivery challan or bill of entry,” said an order issued by State Taxes Commissioner.
This has been notified by the State Taxes Department in consultation with the Chief Commissioner of Central Tax.
“This Notification shall remain in force up to 20 December, 2019 unless revoked earlier,” the order said.
