District Hospital Kishtwar organises awareness camp on World AlDS day

KISHTWAR, DECEMBER 02: District Hospital Kishtwar organised awareness programme in hospital premises to mark World AlDS day under the supervision of Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kishtwar, Dr Parvez lqbal Wani.
Among others present on the occasion were Consultant Physician Dr. Sanjay Parihar, Consultant Pediatrician Dr. Javaid lqbal Giri, Consultant Gynea. Dr Shabnam Laila, Medical Officer (M D Medicine) Dr. Arif Ahanger, Paramedical staff students of ANMT School and large no of people.
Medical Superintendent Dr. Parvez lqbal Wani laid stress upon the participants to spread the information that the HIV infection should not be considered as social stigma. He encouraged the people to use the available facilities of ICTC centre at District Hospital Kishtwar for counselling testing and diagnosis of the disease.
Dr. Arif Ahanger (M.D Medicine) gave a detailed history of the disease wherein Dr. Saniay (Consultant Physician) spoke about the signs, symptoms, diagnosis and mode of transmission of the disease.
