Jammu DLSA observes ‘National Education Day’

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 11: District Legal Services Authority, Jammu, today organised series of programmes in various educational institutions of the district to celebrate "National Education Day" and to commemorate the birth anniversary of India's first Education Minister Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad.
The main objective of celebrating this day was to spread awareness about education so that people can be made aware of welfare schemes, Privileges and Fundamental Rights of Children i.e their Right to Education, Right to Food, Right to Health, Right to Water, Right to Identity, Right to Protection, Right to Freedom.
During the programme, Para Legal Volunteers of DLSA Jammu in association with Principals, Head Masters and faculty members of educational Institutions including Anganwadi Centres, educated the students and masses about the need and importance of education for all round development, free and compulsory elementary education to every child and to inculcate values in them so that they become responsible citizens of the nation.
