Post snowfall, DC B’la takes stock of PHE schemes, hospitals, orchards
Directs officers to ensure essential services to people in north Kashmir district
BARAMULLA, NOVEMBER 10: In order to ensure provision of essential services to the people, the District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Dr GN Itoo, today visited various areas of district and inspected hospitals, PHE schemes and orchards.
The DDC also inspected languishing projects of PHE and directed the concerned officers to gear up men and machinery to ensure completion of PHE schemes taken up under languishing projects so that the people will get benefits from these schemes.
On the occasion, DDC said that due to non-availability of power supply, Power Generator Sets have been put into service at various places, with the result 90% of the PHE schemes have been restored so far in the District.
During the inspection of District Hospital Baramulla, SDH Sopore, PHC Dangiwacha, Rohama and other health centers, the DC interacted with patients and attendants as well as management to get information about the Medicare facilities including heating arrangements being provide to the patients. The Dc directed health officers to take care of patients and ensure their better treatment so that they will not face any difficulties in this regard.
The DC also inspected of various orchards to take stock of the fruit tress damaged due to recent snow fall. He said that teams have already been deputed to assess the losses so that the affected fruit growers will be compensated accordingly.
