Army organises street play on Beti Bachao Beti Badao

Kishtwar: With an aim to generate awareness among the members of society about importance of girl child and their education, Indian Army conducted a street play on “Beti bachao, Beti padao” at Padhyarna Region, Kishtwar District.
The emphasis of the play was to spread awareness to save and educate the girl child. The gathering was also made aware about the various initiatives and welfare services for women undertaken by the government and were guided on how to utilize these schemes for their benefit and empowerment.
The street play was impactful and the message conveyed by it was highly appreciated by the locals and school children who understood the importance of such social messages and the importance of play to convey such lessons. The locals have appreciated the Army’s efforts and requested such events should be conducted more frequently.
