DARPG team meets Secretaries of RDD, Culture

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 16: A team from Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) today met Secretaries of Rural Development Department (RDD) and Culture to have an overview of Public Hearing System in J&K for redressal of grievances.
The four member team was led by Joint Secretary DAPRG, V. Shashank Shekhar and also comprised of Director DARPG, Alpana Shukla Rao, Deputy Secretary, Prisca Methew, and Deputy Secretary, Ajit Kumar Sah.
While interacting with Secretary RDD Sheetal Nanda, the delegation urged the officials to arrange trainings for village panchayats and self help groups to promote entrepreneurship at basic level.
During meeting with Secretary Culture, Zubair Ahmad, V Shashank Shekhar said that there are many places in Jammu and Kashmir which have great historical significance. He asked the officials of Culture to come up with books and documentaries on heritage sites so that more people would visit here.
Later, the team also visited Governor’s grievances redressal cell to have an overview of its functioning.
The team was accompanied by Secretary RDD, Sheetal Nanda, Secretary Culture, Zubair Ahmad, Director Archaeology, Archives and Museum, Muneer-ul-Islam and Deputy Secretary GAD, Girdari Lal Sharma.
