2 dead, 6 injured in accident

POONCH: In a tragic accident, two people were killed and six injured when a car they were travelling in rolled down a deep gorge in Poonch district on Tuesday.
The cab was going towards Mandi from Loran when its driver lost control over the vehicle, and it rolled down a 300-feet gorge.
“A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK12-1935 met with an accident at Barachar village of Loran area today,” a police official said.
“Eight person on board the vehicle received critical injuries in the accident who were rescued from the spot and taken to Sub District Hospital Mandi where doctors declared two of the injured as brought dead,” he added.
The deceased have been identified as Farooq Ahmed (30) son of Mohammad Afzal resident of Loran and Sajad Ahmed (40) son of Mohammad Shafi resident of Lohalbela.
Among the other six injured, three were later referred to Jammu GMC where their condition was stated to be critical,the official said.
