Rs 25000 fine on underage scooty driver

JAMMU: With penalties for violation of traffic rules having become more stringent, an underage driver of a Scooteer was fined Rs 25,000 today.

The incident took place at Gandhi Nagar where police had seized a Scooty bearing registration number JK02 CJ 5358 which was being driven by a juvenile.

The challan in relation to this was produced before Traffic Court Jammu which imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 to the violator.

“It is urged for the benefit and safety of all public that traffic rules and regulations should be followed. Irresponsible driving is a threat to not only your own life, but to those around you as well”, said a spokesperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
