Symposium on ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ held at GDC Sunderbani

RAJOURI SEPTEMBER 19: As a part of campaign against single use plastic, a conference cum symposium on "Swachhta hi Sewa" was today organised here at Government Degree College Sunderbani.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Benhal was the chief Guest.
A number of students presented their views on the topic. The college students also presented a group song on Swachhta hi Sewa, which enthralled the audience.
In his address, the Chief Guest highlighted the importance of Swachhta and urged upon the students to spread the message of cleanliness in the society. He said cleanliness is a collective responsibility of the society and called upon the people especially the youth to keep their surroundings clean and green.
The Block Development Officer Sunderbani and college faculty members also presented their views on Swachhta and haxzards of single use plastic.
At the end, the Chief Guest administered a pledge to the students urging them not to use poly-bags and adopt alternatives from today itself.
