Sensex down 301 pts
Mumbai, Sep 19: The BSE Sensex on Thursday slipped 301 points to 36,260.66 as selling was witnessed in material, bankex, realty and Industrial.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too fell by 89.55 points to 10,751.10.
High volatility was seen during intra-day trading. Though the sensex opened higher 50 points to 36,613.93 points, it immediately went in red.
The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 36,613.93 and 36,205.35 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded day intra day high and low at 10,845.20 and 10,732.70 points respectively.
The losers were Yes Bank by 6.16 pc to Rs 60.15, Tata Steel by 2.67 pc to Rs 348.50, IndusInd Bank by 2.64 pc to Rs 1294.60 and ICICI Bank by 2.49 pc to Rs 389.20.
The gainers were Bharti Airtel by 1.24 pc to Rs 339.90, Asian Paints by 0.69 pc to Rs 1558.85, Tata Motors by 0.33 pc to Rs 122.25 and Hind Unilever by 0.26 pc to Rs 1834.
