DDC Rajouri inspects progress on Kheora Stadium

Rajouri, September 17: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today inspected the developmental works and reviewed the physical progress of major projects being executed in the border district.
The DDC was accompanied by the EXN PWD Mohd Zubair,AEE PWD, Mohd Sarwar officers of the other departments.
The DDC inspected the progress of work at sports stadium Kheora and the site for construction of district level EVM store.
At upcoming Sports Complex, the Executive Engineer PWD informed that the work on indoor and outdoor stadium is in progress and will be completed by October, 2019.
The DDC set 15 day deadline for completion of Pavilion. He also informed that the cost of construction of indoor and outdoor stadium is 5.64 crore and has been approved under languishing projects.
Regarding the facility of lighting at the indoor stadium and outdoor stadium, the DDC directed the PDD authorities to submit an estimate.
Meanwhile, the DDC also inspected the site for the construction of store for Electronic Voting machine. It is pertinent to mention here that District Administration has initiated the process for the construction of store for safe storage of the Electronic Voting machines in the district.
The DDC was apprised that the tendering process will start in the next week and the estimated cost of the project is Rs 4.12 crore. The DDC directed the officers to expedite the process of tendering and complete the project within the shortest possible time.
