DDC Shopian listens to public grievances, visits SDH Keller

SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 17: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin, today conducted a public outreach programme at Keller where he listened to the public grievances.
DDC was accompanied by ADDC, Mohammad Saleem Malik, ACD, District Panchayat Officer, Executive Engineers of R&B and PDD, and other concerned officers and PRIs.
On the occasion, various issues regarding road connectivity, water supply, power infrastructure, up-gradation of link roads, construction of culverts and other issues of public importance were raised by the people.
The DDC gave a patient hearing to the public grievances and issued on spot directions to concerned officers for immediate redressal of the projected demands.
Keeping in view the topography and landscape of the area, DDC said that the district administration is exploring all possible ways to give fillip to the area.
He asked the officers of various departments to work in coordination and exhibit proactive approach towards resolving the issues of people living in remote areas of the district.
DDC said persistent efforts are afoot to accelerate the pace of development in the district to provide people with the basic facilities especially living in far-flung areas to make their lives more comfortable.
On the occasion he also distributed sports kits among youth.
Later he also inspected several wards of Sub District Hospital Keller and interacted with the patients.
