Horticulture Deptt organizes awareness camp at Panchayat Bland

UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 16: A one day awareness camp was organized by Horticulture Department Udhampur at Panchayat Bland Block-Parlidhar Tehsil-Ramnagar here today.
More than 100 farmers from adjoining Panchayats participated in the camp with zeal and enthusiasm.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Ashok Kumar, presided over the camp.
While addressing the camp, ADDC encouraged the farmers to take benefit of various Horticulture Schemes and various other flagship programmes like Jalshakti Abhiyan, PM-Kissan, PMJJY, Swashhta Hi Seva, Golden Card .
He listened to problems of the villagers and also met with PRIs at Sunetar, Dhano and Bland villages.
Later, ADDC inspected the progress on road being constructed under PMGSY from Village Gundia via Sunetar to Village Dhanoo and issued directions to Executive Engineer PMGSY for time bound completion of the work. He also inspected the works of Tourism Department at Shri Chountra Mata Shrine and listened to issues of Chountra Mata Prabandak Committee.
Chief Horticulture Officer, Brij Vallabh Gupta, asked the farmers to adopt Horticulture on scientific lines for doubling their income.
Sandeep Sharma, District Level Subject Matter Specialist delivered lecture on technical expertise regarding latest Horticulture practices.
The ADDC also distributed fruit plants among the participants on the occasion.
Sarpanchs and Panchs of Panchayat Dhanwalt, Rang and Bland besides members and Pradhan of Chountra Mata Prabandak Committee also spoke during the camp.
