DDC reviews progress of developmental works in Kupwara

KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 16: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Anshul Garg today convened a meeting to review progress of developmental projects taken up under Bad Pockets initiative and beautification of towns of Kupwara district.
The meeting was informed that Rs 5 Crore have been released under ‘Back to Village’ initiative of the government. The meeting was also informed that the work is in progress for the beautification of towns of Kupwara district including Handwara and Langate towns. It was further informed that street lights and drinking water points have been installed at various places in these towns.
On the occasion, the DDC directed the concerned officers to submit detailed estimates of works under PDD, PHE and up-keeping/establishment of Panchayat Ghars in the district within a week’s period.
The DDC also directed Tehsildars and Executive Engineers of PDD and PHE to visit these towns jointly for installation of street lights and drinking water points so that the general public is benefited.
The meeting, among others was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Joint Director Planning, BDOs and other concerned.
